In Loving Memory
My Grandma
If you knew my grandma, then you knew one thing for sure—she didn't play about her kitchen. Before you touched anything, she'd tell you, "Wash your hands in my damn kitchen!" It wasn't just about being clean; it was about respecting the food, respecting the home, and doing things the right way.
Some of my greatest memories were made standing beside her, watching her turn simple ingredients into meals that brought our entire family together. She cooked with love, but she also cooked with discipline, pride, and purpose. Every pot she stirred carried a piece of her heart, and every meal reminded us how deeply she loved us.
She never knew she was teaching me how to build my future. The lessons she poured into me became the foundation of Nesha Be Cookin. Every recipe I create, every plate I serve, and every customer I feed carries a little bit of her spirit. There are days I can still hear her voice in my head reminding me to take my time, season with love, and, of course, "Wash your hands in my damn kitchen."
Losing her left a space in my heart that can never be filled, but I'm grateful that I get to honor her every single day by doing what we both loved most—feeding people. This business isn't just my dream; it's her legacy living on through me. I hope every meal I serve makes her smile from heaven. I love you forever, Grandma.
I love you forever, Grandma.
